Team Training/Fight Nights
Spring Team Training Bootcamp
Spring Team Training Bootcamp will begin
on march 13th from 6pm-8pm, and continue for two weeks, meeting Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:00 PM, and Saturdays at 1:00 PM.
Teams will be announced before the last
day of bootcamp on Saturday, March 24. We will hold a fight night finale in
June for qualifying Team Training members.
Team training is
open to all members. Beginners are welcome.
Boston Boxing's team-oriented fight nights, open to the public and free of charge, provide opportunities for members who don't have time to train for sanctioned bouts, but are committed to the gym and work hard to hone their skills.
Each participant will spar with another competitor of similar experience and attributes. A trainer will always be present in the ring during the bout to ensure a controlled experience.
Preparation consists of participation in Team Training, a 3-month conditioning, strengthening, and boxing training workshop, which typically meets on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Only members who have shown vast improvement and dedication during training will be allowed to spar on fight night. Trainers will always make the fiinal decision on whether or not a participant is ready to compete in the show. Members must complete a qualifying orientation and lessons, if required.
Team Training sessions are conducted twice a year, from February to April and from September to November with shows occurring in April and December.
